The images of the Bald eagles were all taken in Eastern Iowa along the Mississippi river between Dubuque and Keokuk, Iowa, and at the roller dam on the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids, and at the Coralville Reservoir Tailwater West dam outlet. The bald eagle has been the national bird of the United States since 1782, when it was placed with outspread wings on the Great Seal of our country. It appears in many government institutions and on official documents, making it the most pictured bird in all of America. Each winter season brings along the challenge as to where to find them. I particularly like the images where two eagles are screaming at each other.
